Nathan Watts serves as the director of advancement at Houston Academy in Dothan, AL, where he leads the school's fundraising, alumni relations, community engagement, and strategic advancement initiatives. Throughout his career in independent schools, Nathan has held leadership roles as director of advancement, middle school head, upper school head, and athletics director, giving him a broad perspective on building strong school communities and sustainable philanthropic programs.
A frequent collaborator, Nathan enjoys sharing practical strategies that help schools strengthen donor engagement, increase participation, and cultivate a culture of philanthropy. Most recently, he partnered with GiveCampus and Varsity Consulting Group to present on successful school-consultant partnerships and Houston Academy's record-setting annual giving campaign. Nathan is passionate about empowering independent school leaders with practical, actionable strategies that strengthen their institutions and ultimately create a greater impact on students.
